Job details

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Manager, Ag & Commercial Marketing on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity for a seasoned marketing leader to shape the future of Ag & Commercial marketing at Co‑op. In this role, you’ll champion the Co‑op brand, align diverse stakeholders, and elevate how we reach Ag & Commercial customers across Western Canada. Your lived experience in agriculture (or extensive track record in ag marketing) will ground your strategic decisions in real-world understanding. Co-op is uniquely positioned in the agriculture and commercial energy space, and this role puts you at the forefront of shaping where we go next. This position is a hybrid opportunity, with members of the marketing leadership team coming into the office approximately twice a week. The successful candidate will be based in commuting distance of Saskatoon, SK. Other arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. What you’ll do: Lead Co-op’s B2B marketing strategy: powering growth of our brand, products and services through increased reach, lead generation, and sales. Collaborate with marketing peers and commodity teams to align on strategic marketing plans, leveraging insights to challenge the status quo and uncover untapped opportunities. Act as a trusted strategic partner to commodity leaders and stakeholders. Champion a unified voice across B2B business lines (Energy, Ag Solutions, Home & Building) leading cross functional efforts to deliver consistent customer-centric marketing efforts. Manage marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational KPIs and long-term business growth. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals, building capability, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Who you’ll work with: You will report to the Director, Commodity Marketing and lead a team of Senior Marketing Specialists dedicated to supporting local Co‑ops and FCL with marketing that resonates deeply with farmers, commercial operators, fleet owners, contractors, and rural communities. Importantly, this role also works hand-in-hand with business leaders to deliver a customer-centric approach to marketing programs and campaigns designed to propel B2B and B2F (Business to Farm) sales strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning marketing team recognized by the Retail Council of Canada, Canadian Agri-food Marketers Alliance, and International Association of Business Communicators. Why it matters: We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services, including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management and business development. Who you are: You are looking for a career in marketing leadership and: Have 10+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in marketing with an emphasis on B2B or Agriculture marketing. Have a strong understanding of the agriculture industry, gained through lived experience, professional experience, or both. Have experience leading a team of direct reports. Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Have affiliation with marketing and communications professional bodies (considered an asset). Have an interest in marketing technology trends and knowledge of project management principles. What we offer: Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan. Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member. As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process to ensure an enjoyable candidate experience. If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply by September 30, 2026. We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected to continue in the recruitment process will be contacted. As this position is considered a position of trust, you may be required to complete a criminal record check in accordance with FCL policies. FCL embraces diversity and inclusion. We’re working to create a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve and an environment where every team member brings their whole self to work.
