Mainline Hoe Operator Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Mainline Hoe Operator to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Edmonton and area. Because a significant portion of our work involves rehabilitation projects, we are less dependent on weather conditions, allowing for more consistent work and reduced weather-related downtime throughout the year. Hourly Wage: $40-$46 (Based on experience) Duties include (but are not limited to): Rehab / replacement work - installation of underground utilities in close proximity to existing utilities and in existing residential / commercial areas Work closely with pipe crews to install pipe - ensuring a high level of safety, communication and quality Adherence to legislation for excavation and trenching requirements Lower materials to pipe crews using proper rigging mechanisms and procedures Operate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment Ensure work is always done safely, to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program Daily equipment inspections and maintenance Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity Required Skills: 3+ years of experience as a Mainline Excavator Operator Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is required Exceptionally safety conscious Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman Ability to operate other equipment is an asset Strong communication skills Required Certifications: CSTS 2020 (required) WHMIS 2015 (required) Ground Disturbance Level 2 (required)

Requirements
