FCU Community Financial, formerly First Credit Union, has roots tracing back to 1939 and serves members across the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island, and the Gulf Islands, operating on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the K’òmoks, Klahoose, Qualicum, Tla’amin and Squamish Nations. On December 1st, 2025, FCU merged with Vancity, marking an important step for the future of community banking in BC.
