Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist – Phlebotomy Services and Medical Devices Salary: $76,530 - $95,662 - $105,229 per year (pay range explained below) Contract: Temporary Part time – till April 2027, with the possibility of an extension Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm between Monday – Friday (.8 FTE or 30 hrs/wk.) Location: es zúmin Primary Care Centre, Mount Currie, B.C. – onsite About The Role Within the context of a client service culture, and in accordance with established standards of professional practice, policies, procedures and the vision and values of the organization, the position provides technical leadership and expertise in the provisioning of Laboratory and Diagnostic Services for the FNHA community based testing initiatives (community lab/clinical settings). Participates in the planning and coordination of services; monitors the quality of technical work performed to ensure sites standards are met and safety procedures are followed. The position requires substantive travel to multiple sites with a focus on training, coaching, clinical oversight and leading team members. Facilitates workplace solutions and the implementation of new techniques and procedures. Performs a variety of routine/complex tests utilizing manual and automated procedures/instruments, when required. About You To be successful in this role you will have: Education Bachelor of Science degree or an Advanced Registered certificate or completion of a supervisory/management program. Occupational Certification Certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS). Experience A minimum of five (5) years’ recent, related experience including current phlebotomy competency together with two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge Comprehensive knowledge and recent related experience in related discipline. Comprehensive knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Laboratory Technologists established by the CSMLS and/or other relevant national professional associations. Knowledge of, and ability to apply, an understanding of First Nations cultural humility and safety protocols in work situations. The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
