Overview Are you a proactive leader with a passion for driving efficiency. As a Batch Plant Superintendent, you will oversee the daily operations of batch plant operations in multiple districts. Your role will encompass everything from managing material logistics and scheduling equipment maintenance to training staff and coordinating daily activities with project teams. What you will be doing Manages batch plant location set-up and moving logistics, resource and materials scheduling and training for multiple batch plants. Works with regional equipment managers, oversees development and updating of detailed equipment availability and maintenance schedules. Identifies equipment needs; supports the internal commercial analysis process for making commercially sound purchase/rent/authorization decisions for concrete paving equipment. Oversees batch plant operators and staff to ensure targets are met for all metrics Reviews quality including strength, aggregate cleanliness, aggregate gradation, cementitious mill certificates, etc. to ensure owner satisfaction and/or contract compliance. Schedules and coordinates maintenance activities and equipment charges in line with the corporate equipment department’s budget and guidelines. Coordinates batch plant crane set-up/teardown and logistics. Create batch plant pick plans and host hold point meetings. In coordination with the regional safety and job site staff, review and implement Standard Operating Procedures; ensure Job Hazard Analyses are in line with SOP’s. Monitor safety performance and training on all projects. Enforce Site Specific Safety Plans. What we are looking for 10+ years’ experience in heavy civil construction and concrete batch plants required. 3+ years’ experience managing construction teams required. Bachelor’s Degree a plus. Managing heavy civil/highway paving projects and financial risk management experience required. Valid Driver’s License. Strong leadership skills to support internal talent growth and mentorship at multiple project types and locations. Experience in all aspects of Plant assembly/disassembly, and mobilization. General understanding of mix designs, plan computer software, aggregate quality, admixtures, cement, and SCMs. Experience building schedules, budgets and plant moves.
