Roofer Journeyman (Production) - Halifax, NS

Role: Roofer Summary: Install, repair, or replace four and/or single-ply commercial roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic composition on various sectors including but not limited to industrial, institutional and commercial buildings Daily responsibilities: •Install or replace a variety of commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, and PVC •Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs and seal the seams •Cut roofing paper to size using knives; and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials "Benefits according to the Union collective bargaining agreement" \n \n

The Roofer Journeyman is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, and PVC. Daily tasks include installing vapor barriers, insulation, and roofing paper to ensure proper sealing and base preparation.

The role requires experience as a Journeyman Roofer capable of working with various waterproof sheet materials and commercial roofing systems. Candidates must be proficient in using roofing tools to cut, nail, and staple materials according to project specifications.
