Pipefitter/Steamfitters Journeypersons are paid a top hourly base rate of $55.405 per hour plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums. As we continue our journey to establish the Oakville Assembly Complex as a Technical Centre of Excellence, we are seeking qualified applicants for opportunities within our skilled trade workforce for Pipefitters. Responsibilities YOUR IMPACT Adhere to all health and safety rules in compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards Maintain Equipment in a safe & efficient manner Assist other trades/operators as required Participate in the training of Pipefitter apprentices as required Participate in problem solving meetings to help eliminate all downtime Co-ordinate repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling to meet job deadlines Generate and implement cost savings and process improvement suggestions Accurately enter data into maintenance tracking system ensuring to track time and details to allow follow up and root cause analysis Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must have completed a recognized apprenticeship and hold a Certificate of Qualification (CofQ) 306A or 307A (if a Certificate of Apprenticeship has not been attained, applicants with 8 years of experience in the trade after receiving the CofQ will be considered) Must be able to work all shifts (days, afternoons, midnights) on a rotating schedule Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and supportive team environment Proficient in the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial steam, wastewater, and process systems. Required to work in a multi-disciplined fast paced work environment where Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and Environment (SQDCPME) are the focus of all organizational objectives. Read and understand design drawings, manufacturers literature and installation diagrams Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, process or industrial systems Install piping for any process, including a process that conveys gas or pneumatic or air-handling system Install high-pressure piping for any process Install and maintain instrumentation control systems Experience in: Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, process or industrial systems Install piping for any process, including a process that conveys gas or pneumatic or air-handling system Install high-pressure piping for any process Install and maintain instrumentation control systems This posting is for an existing vacancy within our team.
