Job summary

Foremost has an immediate opening for a Sandblaster reporting into our Coating Foreman located at our facility in Lloydminster, AB. Responsibilities * Operate and service all equipment associated with sandblasting * Use sandblasting equipment with specified media * Prepare components to be protected from abrasives * Conform to quality control standards and construction specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards etc. and/or verbal instructions * Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies and procedures * Report status of jobs in progress and upcoming production plans * Maintain frequent contact with QC and Production to ensure all blasting requirements are met * Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements * Keep a clean work environment * Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials * Assist painters and insulators when needed and any other job-related tasks Qualifications * Minimum 2-year oil storage tank internal and external blasting experience * Sandblasting experience would be an asset * NACE Coating Inspector level I/II/III would be an asset * Familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating * Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial * Ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written * Hand tools required * WHIMIS, H2S, Fall Protection, Confined Space Training NOTE : Hourly Rate up to $32.85/Hour depending on experience This work is performed in a combination of environments and may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils. Requirements

Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in internal and external oil storage tank blasting. Must possess WHMIS, H2S, Fall Protection, and Confined Space training, with NACE certification being an asset.
