Foremost has an immediate opening for in shop Journeyman Welders, located at our facility in Lloydminster, Alberta reporting into our Welding Foreman. This position includes, but is not limited to production welding, service & repair welding, prototype building, tank and fitter welding. This position will work with Lead Hands, Charge Hands and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements using various welding processes. Responsibilities * Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications * Operate manual or semi-automatic welding: gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shield metal arc welding (SMAW), and metal core arc welding (MCAW) * Operate and maintain flame-cutting and plasma arc cutting equipment * Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits * Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded * Align components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (flat, vertical, horizontal or overhead) * Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws * Operate metal shaping machines such as brake, shears and hydraulic band saw * Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues * Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques * Ensure compliance with Industry, Legislative, and corporate Safety policies and procedures * Assist in training and directing less trained personnel with work methods, work habits and performance * Recommend changes to improve quality and productions costs * Operation of overhead crane Qualifications * High School Diploma, GED or equivalent * Registered Journeyman trade certificate * Must be able to mentor and coach. * Maintains a set of tools to perform welding functions * Previous experience in tank fabrication a definite asset * CWB tickets considered an asset * Safety training an asset but willing to train as required * Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment What we Offer * Competitive Compensation. * In-depth Safety Program. Requirements

Candidates must hold a registered Journeyman trade certificate and a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in tank fabrication and CWB tickets are considered assets for this role.
