Your Responsibilities as a Managing Engineer: * Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff on a wide variety of infrastructure projects—from planning and design through bidding and construction. * Drive operational excellence by monitoring project schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload. * Strengthen and expand client relationships and workload through responsive, value-driven engineering solutions. * Guide and mentor staff to cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on quality, accountability, and professional growth. * Develop and strengthen client relationships by proactively identifying new business opportunities through networking, thoughtful engagement, proposal preparation, and client presentations, supporting the growth of our regional business development program. * Partner with division leadership on strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management throughout the western U.S. * Play a central role in talent development, succession planning, and long-term organizational sustainability. * Take the lead for refinement and implementation of the firm’s strategy, business growth plan, and day-to-day operations of our Denver office to achieve overall corporate objectives and ensure profitability. What we're looking for: * B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field) * Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Colorado (or ability to obtain such a license) * 15+ years of civil engineering experience * Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead multidisciplinary project teams * Project management experience including development of project proposals, scopes, budgets, and successful execution of engineering projects * Strong staff mentorship and performance management capabilities * Experience with strategic planning, client development, and operational oversight * Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills Why you'll love working for us: * Flexible Schedule * Competitive Pay * Medical, Vision, Dental, and HSA * Generous PTO * 401K Plan including employer contribution #LI-EK1 Req ID: 11430 Annual Expected Pay Range $160,000—$200,000 USD
