Posting: CEC – 06 – EA 3 - OT and PT Assistant Location(s): All Schools As Required Hours/Week: 25-31 Hours per week Start Date: ASAP Closing Date: October 8, 2026 Job Reference: CEC06-10022026 FMCSD requires an Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant to join the team. This job involves providing OT and PT services to EEP - Gr. 12 students within an inclusive educational environment under the direction of the school Principal and supervision of registered Occupational Therapist(s) and Physiotherapist(s). Requirements And Competencies A minimum of two years of experience working as an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Assistant under the direct supervision and direction of a registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist is required. Preference will be given to those who have worked in a school setting with children. Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma preferred but related education will be considered Ability to handle physical, emotional and mentally demanding situations Be self-directed and work independently; effective time management Able to lift up to 50lbs consistently Able to work in multiple school locations with access to own vehicle and valid driver's license Responsibilities Provide treatment to students under the supervision of an OT and/or PT Administer defined screening protocols, without interpretation, selected by the supervising OT and/or PT Assisting the OT and/or PT during assessments, including, but not limited to, preparing materials and collecting data Following and implementing documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising OT and/or PT for student(s) in individual and group activities Provide input and assist in the preparation of IPP's Participate in team meetings as required Provide assistance to students who experience physical difficulties Documenting student performance during treatment and reporting the information to the supervising OT and/or PT. Preparing materials for use in therapy, home programs, classroom and other environments under the guidance of the supervising OT and/or PT Participating in family conferences, case conferences or inter-professional team conferences with the supervising OT and/or PT present Relaying treatment processes (ex; scheduling, treatment goals and activities, home programming etc) to the guardians of the student with support and approval of the supervising OT and/or PT Be able to assist teachers in adapting and modifying academic programs for students Other duties as assigned by the Principal and Division OT and/or PT The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Reference Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. Requirements

An OT or PT assistant diploma is preferred, along with the ability to manage demanding situations, work independently, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel between school locations using a personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
