Our locally owned and operated business includes an innovative showroom and test kitchen, equipment inventory, white-glove delivery team and skilled stainless installation team. With people and service at the heart of everything you do, as Shop Helper, you will support Foundry’s day-to-day stainless steel fabrication operations. You are creative in your approach to daily tasks and maintain a positive attitude when met with challenges. Core Functions: * General shop laborer, keeping the shop tidy and clean. * Learn Laser & Brake operations * Learn basics of FCS products and fabrication process as part of our pre-apprentice program Responsibilities: * General labor support is required for the day-to-day operations to run smoothly. * Prepare and pack shipments, load delivery trucks, and prepare orders for pick-up. * Assist with deliveries, includes lifting and moving equipment into place. * Drive a variety of Foundry’s fleet vehicles, most often 3-ton or F150 or similar pickup truck to complete customer deliveries. * Organize inventory and complete counts of product. * General building maintenance (as required) * Site installations (as required) Experience: * Proof of Class 5 BC Driver’s license and yearly driving abstract report * Forklift experience, an asset * Experience working in shop of similar operations and industry considered an asset.
