Job details
About Fozara Fozara is a self-custody bank for a borderless world. One global account where businesses hold and control their money, connected to local rails in every country they operate in. Underneath, value moves as stablecoins on Solana and Base. On top, it feels like local money: collect in USD, hold it, convert to CAD when you choose, and pay out to your Canadian bank the same day. We're backed by South Park Commons, based at the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo, and live across Canada, the United States, and Nigeria. The role You'll be the first salesperson at Fozara. Your market is Canadian businesses that get paid by American customers: exporters and manufacturers invoicing US buyers, agencies and consultancies billing US clients, SaaS companies with US subscribers, e-commerce sellers settling from US marketplaces, and contractors on US projects. Every one of them is losing 2 to 4 percent to FX spread and wire fees, waiting days for funds to land, and converting to CAD at whatever rate the bank gives them that morning. You'll show them how to collect in USD, hold it, and convert on their terms, and you'll close them. Concretely: Build the pipeline from scratch. Identify, reach, and qualify Canadian businesses with recurring USD receivables. Outbound is most of the job in year one. Run the full cycle: discovery, demo, proposal, close, handover to onboarding. Sell to owners, controllers, and finance leads at companies collecting USD 500k to 20M a year from the US. Feed what you hear back into product. You'll sit with the founders weekly and what customers say will shape the roadmap. Build the playbook: ICP , messaging, objection handling, pricing conversations. The second salesperson will learn from what you write down. Who we're looking for 3 or more years selling payments, FX, merchant services, or treasury products to Canadian SMBs or mid-market. You've sold against the banks and the FX brokers and you know why businesses still use them. You've been a first or early sales hire somewhere and built pipeline from nothing. You can explain stablecoin settlement to a controller in plain language, and you don't say the word crypto until they ask. Comfortable with a long outbound week and a short feedback loop. Based in Canada with the right to work here. Toronto or Waterloo is ideal for in-person meetings, but we're flexible. Bonus: a network in Canadian exporters, agencies, SaaS, or e-commerce. What we offer Base salary of CAD 100,000 to 125,000. Commission of 50% of Fozara's revenue on every customer you close, for their first six months, paid monthly in CAD, uncapped. On-target earnings of CAD 170,000 to 195,000 in year one. Remote within Canada, with travel to customers and periodic time at the Accelerator Centre. Direct work with the founders and a real say in what gets built. How to apply Send a short note to hari@fozara.xyz with your CV and one paragraph on a deal you closed that took more than three months and what made it close. No cover letter needed.
