The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides expert pharmaceutical care, clinical direction on complex cases, and consultation to health care professionals. They also lead research initiatives, conduct pharmacological education, and participate in quality improvement and multidisciplinary committees. Candidates must be registered as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia and hold a post-graduate Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Completion of an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program and at least one year of experience in a designated specialty area are required.
