Our fast-paced ophthalmology office is looking for a volunteer to help enhance the experience for our elderly patients during their visit. This is a volunteer role – no pay, just meaningful connection and good vibes. What You’ll Do: Greet patients warmly as they arrive Walk around the waiting area and chat casually with patients Help ease the feel of longer appointments (1–2 hours) by keeping patients engaged Offer compliments and friendly conversation (“Love your jacket!” – that kind of vibe!) What We’re Looking For: Strong communication skills – our patients are mostly seniors A naturally social and upbeat personality Someone who’s confident and doesn’t need training – just jump in and start making people smile! Comfortable being on your feet, walking around the office This is a great role for someone who enjoys helping others, especially seniors, and wants to volunteer in a healthcare setting without the need for clinical tasks.
