The FOH Team Lead is in charge of assisting with the overall operations of the front of house to ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service. The FOH Team Lead is vital in securing processes and procedures to instill efficiency in the front of house and maintaining high team morale with staff development and growth in mind. A FOH Team Lead is expected to be a role model with the ability to complete hands-on tasks to ensure a smooth service and resolve guest escalations. We offer: Increased compensation – Paid breaks and tips $19-19.50 starting wage while team leading, minimum wage in support roles or serving plus gratuities for both roles Discounted meals during work and outside of work hours, including 20% off at participating Recipe brands and other exclusive retail discounts Employee Health Plan – Available after one month, includes coverage for vision, dental, massage, mental health resources, employee assistance program and more Growth & learning opportunities – Consistent training on various topics to support continuous career development into positions of leadership Casual & inclusive environment – Warm, friendly and welcoming workplace for everyone to be their authentic self Flexible hours What Are We Looking For? 1+ years of experience in a high volume kitchen or restaurant 1+ years of experience with employee management Open and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends Able to complete physically demanding tasks – standing for long periods, lifting 50 lbs, bending and reaching, etc. Quick learner when it comes to technology, software, and kitchen operations Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills Summary of Responsibilities Ensures all dishes that are served are to spec and packaged according to packaging guidelines Communicates with GM and AGM about concerns regarding stock levels, workflow, equipment and employee issues Assists the AGM with bar and FOH inventory by accurately counting stock, recording waste, entering inventory data, and reconciling invoices Adheres to company standards in regards to portion sizes, packaging methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures Champions product knowledge to be able to make recommendations and educate guests on the menu, retail usage and Fresh mobile app Maintains an inspection ready restaurant including retail, eat-in and storage areas at all times Acts as a role model for employees by upholding all standards, policies and operating systems Holds FOH staff accountable to all procedures and standards set out by Fresh Completes tasks assigned by the GM and AGM while remaining accountable for the overall shift Attends manager meetings as required and is prepared to participate by actively listening and encourages and includes the opinions of others Equal Opportunity Employer Fresh strives to further challenge and disrupt the status quo to become a champion of diversity, inclusion, equity and anti-oppression.
