Who You Are * You maintain the highest standards of cleanliness during the whole cooking process. * You have experience in a high-volume professional kitchen and are able to accurately follow recipes. * You are familiar with traditional cooking methods and also modern techniques such as sous-vide and rational combi ovens (our main source of cooking is done using this oven). What You'll Be Doing * Preparing proteins, sides and sauces for a variety of Ready to Eat products for a direct to consumer delivery business. * Following recipes and HACCP standards as directed by the Executive Sous Chef / Senior Sous Chef. * Be fully accountable for all product quality, taste, presentation as well as on time, and in full order fulfillment within a CFIA registered facility. What We Are Looking For * Culinary Diploma required; Red Seal Certification preferred. * Two (2) years of kitchen experience or equivalent in a high-volume food production environment. * Valid Food Safety Certification. * Experience in banquet or catering services strongly preferred. * Organized and efficient in food production and processing. * A problem solver’s mentality; you see problems as opportunities and see the benefit of doing things differently. * Strong communication skills, ability to adjust your communication style to different audiences, relay information clearly and concisely. * Able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. * Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and timely execution.
