An Estimator-Junior processes quotation requests received from customers and provides a price quotation based on the current production standards, hourly rates and material prices The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm Friesens Corporation offers a Comprehensive Benefits Package and Employee Ownership Trust distributions. Job Requirments: * High School Diploma/GED/Mature Student Diploma * Effective English use and comprehension * Digital Literacy (Microsoft Office, keyboarding skills) * Essential Math skills (Metric and Imperial measurements, problem-solving, conversion charts, etc) * Ability to conceptualize/visualize implications of production procedures * Effective use of work-related documents to accomplish job tasks * Ability to detect, isolate and identify irregularities * Demonstrated organization, prioritizing, time and stress management skills * Continuous learning/improvement mindset * Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating self-management capabilities * Able to deal with people diplomatically and professionally at all times * Excellent manual dexterity * Over time as required Duties and Responsibilities: * Complete the less complex quotes in a timely fashion, efficiently and accurately * Analyze quotation requests to judge compatibility with production equipment and to determine the most economical method of manufacture * Calculate price of printing jobs based on specific job procedures and material prices * Compose quotation letters with specific dates ensuring customers know what is included in the price and what is expected of them * Advise Project Specialists, Sales staff and Management of manufacturing procedures for specific jobs and recommend changes to quotation specifications for more economical production * Maintain a thorough knowledge of current production methods * Develop a thorough knowledge of paper, its characteristics and its applications to specific uses * Assist Estimators in maintaining quote requests as assigned by the Estimating Manager * Price sheeting orders and raw materials * Other tasks as assigned by the Estimating Manager Applications will be accepted until 4 pm on Monday October 19, 2026 or until a qualified candidate has been selected.
