JOB OVERVIEW The Engine Maintenance Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality technical training within an aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment, with a focus on engine modules and core maintenance fundamentals. This role ensures technicians develop the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to meet operational and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: * Deliver and facilitate classroom instruction, workshops, and hands-on technical training focused on engine components and core maintenance modules. * Prepare and manage the training environment, ensuring tools, equipment, materials, and safety standards reflect operational shop floor conditions. * Administer and evaluate technical assessments and readiness evaluations, documenting trainee performance in accordance with established procedures. * Monitor trainee progress through defined learning paths, identify competency gaps, and provide coaching or corrective guidance as needed. * Validate technician competency in both theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing objective final sign-off for module qualification readiness. * Contribute to continuous improvement of training content and delivery methods through feedback and collaboration with technical stakeholders. Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, or 2 to 5 years of experience in a training, coaching, or technical leadership role. * Diploma in a technical field related to Aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO). A Bachelor's degree in a related field is considered an asset. * Strong technical expertise in engine module maintenance, including teardown, inspection, repair, and build-up activities. * Experience working with CFM56 engines is considered a strong asset. * Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and effectively manage priorities with minimal supervision. * Collaborative team player with a passion for mentoring, supporting, and developing others. * Broad industry experience with a solid understanding of aviation regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements. * Proficient in both French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
