JOB OVERVIEW The Test Cell Engineer plays a critical, hands-on role at the heart of our aircraft engine test operations. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys being close to the hardware, solving real-world technical problems, and shaping the future of test infrastructure. You will be a key contributor to the modernization, reliability, and expansion of our test cells, including participation in the design and construction of up to two new test cells. At FTAI Aviation, this is not a maintenance-only role. You will actively influence technical decisions, lead upgrades, support capital projects, and work closely with test engineers, technicians, suppliers, and leadership to continuously improve our testing capabilities. To support operational needs, we are looking for candidates interested in evening shift opportunities. Why Join Us: * Direct impact on engine test cell modernization and expansion * Hands-on exposure to aircraft engine testing environments * Opportunity to lead equipment upgrades, redesigns, and new installations * Involvement in capital projects, RFQs, vendor selection, and commissioning * Dynamic MRO environment with long-term growth and investment in facilities Responsibilities: * Provide engineering support for aircraft engine test cell operations. * Develop, review, and approve engine test procedures. * Analyze engine performance data and troubleshoot test anomalies. * Support acceptance testing of overhauled gas turbine engines. * Investigate engine performance issues and recommend corrective actions. * Coordinate with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and customer representatives. * Ensure compliance with OEM, regulatory, and internal procedures. * Support instrumentation calibration and test cell system maintenance. * Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
