OVERVIEW: Are you an Alberta Certified Teacher who loves working with young learners but is looking for more flexibility in your schedule? Fueling Brains Education Services is growing our Alberta Education-approved Kindergarten program across Calgary, and we’re looking for Substitute Kindergarten Teachers to provide classroom coverage as needed. Our Kindergarten program brings Alberta’s curriculum together with brain-based learning, play, movement, and whole-child development. With small groups of typically 8–16 students, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections while supporting children during an important stage of their development. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: As a Substitute Kindergarten Teacher, you will: Deliver planned Kindergarten lessons and learning activities Maintain established classroom routines and expectations Facilitate structured, play-based, and experiential learning Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment Support children’s academic, social, emotional, and cognitive development Collaborate with Educational Assistants, educators, specialists, and campus leadership WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: You must hold a valid Interim or Permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate. We’re looking for teachers who: Enjoy working with Kindergarten and early elementary-aged children Are confident adapting to different classrooms and learning needs Bring a positive, child-centered approach to teaching Are dependable, flexible, and collaborative Have experience with play-based, inquiry-based, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar approaches - an asset Previous Kindergarten or early-years teaching experience is preferred. Requirements
