ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - Electrical who will be responsible for building the Electrical team's ownership, capability, and execution of Standard Maintenance Practices, the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, and Process Control. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this role focuses on developing team capability, driving maintenance excellence, and supporting operational performance. The successful candidate will serve as the primary resource and decision-maker for electrical issues while leading the Electrical team on the production floor. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and develop the Electrical team, promoting accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Act as the primary resource and decision-maker for electrical issues. Support site-wide maintenance activities, including electrical, mechanical, process, packaging, building maintenance, and stationary engineering. Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, quality, security, and HR policies and procedures. Improve production line reliability and reduce equipment downtime. Support the development of the Maintenance team's technical and functional capabilities. Lead and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, work order planning and scheduling, and MRO inventory control. Manage electrical parts inventory and support procurement activities up to $1,000. Participate in daily production meetings and collaborate with Operations and other departments to achieve business objectives. Monitor team performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Coordinate contractor activities, maintenance shutdowns, vacation schedules, and employee scheduling. Support disciplinary matters, performance reviews, employee relations issues, and labour cost management, including overtime approvals. Administer all aspects of the time and attendance system. Provide floor electrician coverage as required and participate in on-call support during electrical breakdowns. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or process environment. Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Process Control. A valid Industrial Electrician (442A) license is required. A Construction and Maintenance Electrician (309A) license would be considered an asset. Experience in a capital-intensive manufacturing facility and maintenance best practices. Extensive electrical and automation troubleshooting experience. Highly proficient with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, Kinetix systems, Servo Motors, and related technologies. EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education considered an asset. Maintenance Planner Certificate (or equivalent) considered an asset. Engineering background preferred. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance operations and trade activities. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, bulletins, and blueprints. Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies. Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. High level of computer and systems literacy. Proven ability to improve operating efficiencies through effective preventive and predictive maintenance practices. Strong planning, organizational, budgeting, and prioritization skills. Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. SALARY RANGE $100K – $120K CAD annually Furlani Foods does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen, assess, or select applicants.
