About the Role We are seeking an experienced General Manager / Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing, transportation, and distribution operations within the agri-food industry. This role will oversee plant operations, fleet management, supply chain activities, commercial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while driving operational excellence and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations Oversee transportation, dispatch, fleet utilization, and maintenance Drive operational efficiency, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction Partner with sales teams to support revenue growth and customer needs Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability Lead production planning, inventory management, and supply chain activities Develop and coach operational teams while fostering accountability and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement initiatives Track KPIs and operational metrics to support business growth Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Agriculture, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of leadership experience in: Agri-Food Food Manufacturing Food Processing Recycling Industrial Manufacturing Strong experience managing: Plant Operations Supply Chain Transportation/Fleet Operations Production Planning Quality Control Proven P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management experience Experience leading cross-functional teams Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Experience Animal Feed Industry Agri-Food Manufacturing Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Kaizen ERP or WMS systems Privately owned or entrepreneurial business environments

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field, plus at least five years of leadership experience in agri-food, food manufacturing or processing, recycling, or industrial manufacturing. Candidates should have experience in plant operations, supply chain, fleet operations, production planning, quality control, P&L and cost management, and cross-functional team leadership.
