Position Summary Reporting to the Shift Team Lead, this position is responsible for Blasting and Finishing Bottles in the Epox Department in accordance with standard operating procedures. Primary/Essential Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the bottle blast area and PPE (personal protective equipment) on a daily basis Prepare parts for blast operation according to work instructions and department procedures Set up and operate a variety of machines and hand tools to prepare molded parts for paint Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Monitor the condition of the equipment and tooling Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation Document actions by completing production and quality forms Keep tools and equipment operational by completing routine preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs Perform finishing and cleaning work on molded products Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of finishing tasks as needed Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation This position requires the use of a respirator, therefore, all candidates must be clean shaven Required Qualifications High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development required 0-1 year of prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required Must be able to safety use small hand and power tools Must be able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Materials Must have basic computer skills Must be able to troubleshoot routine equipment problems Physical Demands / Working Conditions Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less) Standing – continuous Walking – continuous Bending/stooping – continuous Squatting/kneeling – continuous Lifting – continuous Sitting – occasional Lift up to 35 lbs. on a frequent basis at floor to waist Carry up to 35 lbs on an occasional basis up to 25 feet Griping, manipulation, fingering – frequent to continuous Variable hand/power tool use – frequent Why G&W?
