Role: Senior Tableau Administrator (Support) Location: Canada Remote We are seeking a Senior Tableau Administrator with strong experience in Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud administration, production support, performance optimization, and platform security. Power BI Administration experience is highly desirable. Top 3 Skills Tableau Administration: Tableau Server/Cloud installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and monitoring. Performance & Production Support: Troubleshooting, performance tuning, incident management, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery. Security & Automation: User access, row-level security, governance, Tableau REST APIs, TabCMD, and PowerShell/Python scripting. Key Responsibilities Administer, configure, monitor, and maintain Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud environments. Manage upgrades, patches, migrations, licensing, clustering, load balancing, and server health. Configure authentication, authorization, user access, row-level security, and governance policies. Monitor performance, capacity, and system availability; troubleshoot extract refresh failures, scheduling issues, and performance bottlenecks. Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies. Support deployment of Tableau workbooks, data sources, projects, and permissions. Automate administrative tasks using Tableau REST APIs, TabCMD, PowerShell, and Python. Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support and participate in on-call rotations when required. Collaborate with developers, business users, infrastructure, and security teams. Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and administration standards. Required Skills 8+ years of overall IT experience with strong Tableau Administration and Support expertise. Hands-on Tableau Server installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance. Knowledge of Tableau architecture, clustering, licensing, load balancing, and performance tuning. Windows/Linux server administration experience.
