Role: Workday Time and Absence Consultant Location: Canada (100% Remote) Workday HCM Maintenance & Support Analyst Time Tracking & Absence Management About the Role We are seeking an experienced Workday Maintenance & Support Analyst to own the ongoing configuration, stability, and continuous improvement of our Time Tracking and Absence Management modules. This is a steady-state/AMS (Application Management Support) role, not an implementation engagement — the ideal candidate has already been through full-cycle Workday deployments and now specializes in sustaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a live production tenant. The candidate must hold a Workday Pro Certification (not an Implementation Partner certification) in the relevant module(s), reflecting deep, hands-on, customer-side expertise. Key Responsibilities Provide production support and configuration for Time Tracking & Absence across US and Canada. Perform RCA and resolve production defects, calculation errors, and process issues. Manage JIRA tickets, incidents, enhancements, and SLAs. Configure time entry templates, calculation tags, accruals, absence plans, eligibility rules, and holiday calendars. Partner with HR/Payroll to implement US & Canada regulatory/policy changes. Manage Workday bi-annual releases, impact assessment, and regression testing. Troubleshoot time/absence integrations with Payroll and third-party systems. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and support knowledge articles. Contribute to the Time & Absence module roadmap and continuous improvement. pendently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment on prioritization and escalation. Required Qualifications 8+ years of Workday experience, including significant production/AMS support experience. Active Workday Pro Certification in Time Tracking and/or Absence Management — Implementation Partner certification is NOT accepted. Hands-on US & Canada Time Tracking and Absence configuration/support experience. Strong RCA, troubleshooting, and production support experience. Experience with JIRA/ITSM ticket management and SLA-based support. Strong knowledge of Business Processes, Calculated Fields, Eligibility Rules, and Security. Ability to work independently and communicate with technical/non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Workday release management & regression testing. Workday Payroll integration experience. Core HCM, Benefits, or Compensation experience. AMS/shared services environment experience. What Success Looks Like Time Tracking and Absence configuration remains stable through each Workday release with minimal production disruption. JIRA tickets are resolved within SLA with well-documented root causes and fixes. The module roadmap reflects current business priorities and regulatory requirements for both US and Canada.
