Department Production Reports to Supervisor Job Summary The Foundry Worker is responsible for assisting in different tasks as required in the production/finishing processes. Job Responsibilities Transport raw materials, castings and equipment throughout plant manually or using powered equipment Verify weight of materials and products Pick up castings from the conveyors and place them into buggies Manually load/unload Shotblaster machines Core knockout Operate Pressure Tester unit Operate Punch press machine Sort, pack, crate and package castings Assist machine operators and other workers when required Safety Equipment Requirement The use of appropriate safety equipment as described below is a condition of employment and not one of choice. Safety equipment that must be worn while performing job responsibilities are as follow: ∙ Face shield ∙ Helmet ∙ Gloves ∙ Safety boots ∙ Ear plugs ∙ Respirator; as required ∙ Safety glasses Education and Skill Requirement Understand English - oral, written and reading, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely Ability to follow appropriate departmental work instructions, including health and safety rules and procedures Able to lift 46 lbs. and over Capable of standing for long periods of time
