Job summary

Gantrex Inc. is seeking an Industrial Surveyor for our Canadian entity, to lead their crane runway survey operations. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering & have 5+ years of industrial surveying experience., plus as needed certifications. You will travel to jobsite locations to survey existing rail structures for analysis against design codes and/or drawings, and develop reports on the same, including plotting existing conditions, and developing corrective actions measurements for our team or our clients to execute. In addition, you will also travel to Gantrex construction jobsites to provide benchmarks for our installation crews based off of client provide control points and develop As-Built surveys of the final installation. Travel can be heavy based on the number of on-going projects however the time spent at any 1 project is limited to the surveying activities, i.e. data gathering or bench marking. Hence travel does not always involve the full duration of the week. You will be provided with all necessary surveying tools, software, laptop and equipment to complete your function. Gantrex installation team members will support the data collection as needed on a per project basis. This is an exempt salaried position with full benefits, including matching GRSSP, vacation and performance bonus.
