Hourly wage of $21.71 We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy Full-Time and casual opportunities available Full-Time - 12 hour continental rotational shifts (including 2 weeks days and 2 weeks overnights) Casual - Minimum of 2-3 shifts per week Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard As a Tactical Security Guard assigned to a sensitive educational environment, you’ll be a key player in maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for staff, students, and visitors. Duties include: Proactively patrolling high-traffic areas by foot Responding to incidents and emergencies quickly and effectively Enforcing the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and site-specific regulations Observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or safety hazards Assisting in medical emergency response and supporting on-site evacuations Conducting site checks, verifying identity, and managing access points Writing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate records Supporting community engagement efforts to promote safety and awareness Collaborating with local law enforcement when required Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard Must be authorized to work in Canada Must be use of force certified with atleast 1 year tactical security experience Must have valid Ontario Security Guard License Must have Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification(WSIB Approved) Experience working with vulnerable population Must be able to commute to Downtown Toronto Working Knowledge of Criminal Code and Trespass to Property Act enforcement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong documentation and report-writing abilities Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for the duration of your shift Computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Suite) Self-defence, powers of arrest, or EMR training is considered a strong asset This posting is for a future position within the organization.
