We have an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist within our Procurement department at our Broadway Tech Office in Vancouver, BC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, This role will focus on driving advanced strategic initiatives and core operations procurement activities. This role is key to the procurement department, that requires a dynamic professional who can seamlessly pivot from high-level CAPEX project leadership, spend analytics, and process improvement to daily transactional efficiency and vendor management. This is an opportunity to shape a growing procurement function, where you will have a direct impact on both our operational backbone and our long-term sourcing strategies. The ideal candidate has high-level procurement experience, excellent communication, analytical skills, and is comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. GENERAL DUTIES * Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving supplier performance. * Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, and compliance monitoring. * Lead end-to-end procurement processes for CAPEX projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional internal stakeholders to ensure project success. * Drive procurement excellence by performing advanced spend & category analytics and leading continuous process improvements * Support operational procurement as needed, stepping in to manage and expedite PO issuance and vendor management during peak periods. * Complete additional duties as required. COMPENSATION * The salary range is: $92,264 – $109,104 (Band S4) * Annual Annual Incentive Plan. * Competitive benefits including a defined benefit pension plan. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: You bring the following knowledge and experience: * Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field. * 8+ years of experience in procurement, with a strong mix of strategic sourcing and operational purchasing. * Demonstrated experience in leading RFx process, contract negotiation, supplier management, and complex CAPEX procurement projects in alignment with cross-functional teams. * Fleet purchasing experience and terminal operating company experience can be strong assets. * Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. * Ability to pivot between strategic projects and daily operational tasks as business needs evolve. * ERP system experience is required. * Team player with a continuous improvement attitude. This position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and may require occasional overtime hours and flexibility to work afternoons/weekend shifts on an as-need basis.
