GemTek Recruiting is partnering with a large global organization to identify an experienced IT Asset Manager for its Infrastructure and Operations team. Ability to work onsite in MONTREAL A MIN. 3 DAYS PER WEEK This is a hands on individual contributor role responsible for IT asset lifecycle management, technology procurement, software licensing, renewals, reporting, and audit readiness. The successful candidate will help build a governed global IT asset and software license management capability from the ground up. Mandatory Qualifications - Candidates must have: Five to ten years of experience in IT asset management, IT procurement, software asset management, or a closely related IT operations role Hands on software license management experience involving Microsoft Enterprise Agreements, Adobe licensing, or an equivalent enterprise licensing program Strong knowledge of the complete IT asset lifecycle, from procurement and deployment through maintenance and retirement Direct experience creating purchase orders, validating supplier invoices, and working with Accounts Payable Advanced Excel skills for inventory tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and large data sets Experience maintaining accurate asset, licensing, contract, and procurement records Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work onsite in Toronto or Montréal a minimum of three days per week Must have experience with: IT Procurement IT Asset Lifecycle Management Software License Management Renewals and Contract Management Reporting and Audit Readiness Finance and Budget Collaboration Preferred Qualifications Experience with ServiceNow, Lansweeper, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, or another ITAM or ITSM platform Microsoft EA true up and Microsoft administration portal experience Experience in a global or multi site organization ITIL Foundation certification Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, software licensing, or internal audits Who Will Succeed The right candidate is organized, analytical, proactive, and highly detail oriented. You identify discrepancies before they become compliance or financial problems, maintain clean documentation, and work effectively across IT Operations, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, and external vendors. This is not a role where you will inherit a fully mature process. You will help build the structure, controls, records, and reporting that the organization can rely on.
