Job Description We are hiring a Supply Chain Manager to lead Procurement and Supplier Quality activities in support of manufacturing, programs, and broader business objectives. You will lead a team of Buyers and Commodity Specialists, establish a unified procurement strategy, and ensure materials and services are acquired at the required quality, delivery date, and total cost. Using data-driven analysis and proactive quality management, you will improve supplier performance, identify emerging opportunities and risks, and translate complex issues into practical actions. Success in this role requires clear communication and strong working relationships with senior leaders, internal customers, and strategic suppliers. Key Accountabilities People Leadership and Collaboration Lead and develop a team of Buyers and Commodity Specialists supporting procurement, supplier quality, and technical activities. Set priorities, communicate strategy and progress, and establish clear accountability for results. Align cross-functional teams and build effective relationships with senior management, internal customers, and strategic suppliers. Navigate demanding situations constructively and maintain focus on timely resolution. Procurement Delivery, Planning, and Strategy Manage procurement activities to ensure quality materials and services are available when required and at the appropriate total cost. Lead supply chain material planning and consolidate demand forecasts from revenue plans, proposals, projects, and program requirements. Develop product-cost and supply roadmaps that reflect total business needs, common requirements across programs, and future opportunities. Identify and benchmark key suppliers and support their ongoing development. Supplier Quality, Performance, and Risk Manage supplier quality and technical support activities, including non-conforming material disposition, root-cause analysis, corrective action, audit planning and execution, supplier segmentation, and performance management. Support quality certification audits and maintain alignment with applicable quality-management requirements. Develop and monitor meaningful measures for supplier quality, on-time delivery, cost, lead time, and corrective-action closure. Identify emerging supply opportunities and risks through data analysis; assess business impact and develop mitigation strategies. Lead the resolution of supplier quality, delivery, and cost issues, including supplier recovery and crisis-management activities. Translate complex issues into clear, executable steps that support timely resolution. Qualifications University degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering) PMI, CPIM and/or SCMP Certification 10 + years experience in a high technology, defense, government or manufacturing environment Demonstrated supply chain, procurement, supplier-quality, or related leadership experience Preferred experience in a military production environment Knowledge of AS9100D and or ISO 9001 Experienced in: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), ERP Systems, Power BI, etc. Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities. Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and issue-resolution skills. It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. This opportunity is eligible for a management incentive plan.
