🚧 NOW HIRING: FLEET MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR 📍 Bonnyville, AB | Shop-Based with Site Travel GenMec ACL is looking for a hands-on, highly organized Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Bonnyville. Candidates must be local to the Lakeland Area. This is a hybrid role that combines mechanical work and coordination—perfect for someone who enjoys turning wrenches but also thrives on planning, tracking, and keeping operations running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing: Work closely with Operations to prioritize fleet and equipment repairs Perform maintenance and minor repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment Coordinate in-house vs. outsourced repairs Manage and track preventative maintenance schedules Inspect equipment upon arrival and maintain accurate service records Coordinate with third-party repair shops and vendors Order parts and manage maintenance inventory Maintain CVIP and NDT certifications Ensure all fleet and equipment are safe, compliant, and ready for deployment Track all service work, costs, and timelines in the PM system Provide input on equipment lifecycle and replacement planning Support management with equipment purchasing recommendations What We’re Looking For: Experience working with fleet, trailers, and construction equipment (telehandlers, skid steers, scissor lifts, etc.) Hands-on ability to perform basic to intermediate mechanical repairs Journeyperson (Automotive or Heavy Equipment) is an asset—not required Strong organization and communication skills Experience with fleet management software + Microsoft Office Valid Class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract Comfortable towing and maneuvering trailers Able to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment What Makes You a Great Fit: Self-starter who can work independently Strong problem-solver with a get-it-done attitude Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Takes ownership and keeps things moving Safety Requirements: First Aid & CPR WorkHub Orientation Any required client-specific training Working Conditions: Primarily based in Bonnyville shop Occasional site travel required Work performed indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions Overtime and weekend work may be required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working in various positions (overhead, on back, confined areas) Able to work both hands-on and at a computer Must be able to pass a medical fitness exam Comfortable navigating active construction sites Why Join GenMec?
