Inside Technical Support, East West Region This position is based out of the ABB Automation Group and will be responsible for a specific group of customers and/or products. The job focuses on the sales and support of Automation products. What you'll be doing Provide customer quotations and system configurations or bills of material as required Provide sales and technical support for ABB Automation Products consisting of all ABB product lines carried by Gerrie Electric and Automation Products of approved none ABB vendors Provide troubleshooting and backup service for all Automation products sold Assist and/or deliver product demonstrations and customer training schools as required Provide backup for the Automation Specialists, Industrial Account Managers and Contractor Account Managers in the following areas: Sales and Technical Support Repair & Exchange of defective Automation Products VFD startup (after the appropriate training) Alternate solutions when product availability is inadequate Help develop a customer profile, strategy and budget for named accounts to improve Provide inside quotation and technical support for all Automation Products offered in the East West Region of Gerrie Electric (after the appropriate training) What you bring to the table Graduate of a 3 year electrical/electronic technology program or a program which emphasizes automation and control systems, or have equivalent work experience Professional hands on experience with Sales and/or Customer Service is required Solid communication (both verbal and written) and relationship-building skills Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suites Don’t have all of these qualifications? What you’ll do

Provide technical and commercial support for automation products, specifically focusing on Rockwell Automation solutions. Responsibilities include creating quotations, system configurations, and coordinating repairs for defective products.

Requirements

Requires a graduate degree from a 2-year technician or 3-year electrical/electronic/computer technology or engineering program. Candidates should have some experience in sales or customer service and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
