You will play a key role in delivering complex electrical engineering solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Based in Vancouver, BC, Calgary, AB, or Edmonton, AB, you will lead the design, analysis, and execution of electrical systems, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, motor control, standby power, instrumentation and controls, lighting, communications, security, and life safety systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support client relationships, provide technical guidance, and contribute to successful project delivery across municipal, industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. Provide technical leadership, establish electrical engineering standards, and mentor junior and intermediate staff. Lead complex electrical projects through all phases, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk. Act as the primary technical contact for clients, leading workshops, meetings, and presenting design solutions. Support business development through client relationship management, proposal preparation, and fee development. Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, utilities, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities. Direct the design and review of low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and VFDs. Lead electrical system studies, including protection and coordination, arc flash, short circuit, and power system analysis. Oversee electrical calculations, technical reviews, quality control, and professional sealing of engineering documents. Support tendering and construction through RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site inspections, testing plans, and change order evaluations. Ensure compliance with Canadian electrical codes, industry standards, and best practices while driving technical excellence across the electrical discipline. What you will bring to the team: 10+ years of electrical consulting and design experience in industrial projects; water/wastewater experience preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with P.Eng. designation in BC or Alberta Expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, protection, and power distribution. Experience leading electrical engineering teams, mentoring staff, and driving technical excellence. Proven ability to manage complex projects, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships. Strong background in electrical design, calculations, specifications, contract documents, and quality reviews. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting projects through design, tendering, and construction. Thorough knowledge of Canadian electrical codes, standards, regulations, and electrical safety practices, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The salary range is based on the preferred work location. If the selected candidate’s location differs, changes to the salary range may apply. Requirements

Candidates must have a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, P.Eng registration in Ontario, and 15-20 years of experience in MV/LV electrical systems. A minimum of 10 years of specific experience in water and wastewater treatment plants is required.
