Job summary

Our client is a private home care center located in the city of St.John’s, Newfoundland and we are currently seeking experienced Personal Care Assistants to join our care team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide client personal care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans in order to meet the individual residents’ needs. As part of our team, the successful candidate will assist residents with routine activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, dressing, assisting with feeding residents, and participating in recreational activities as necessary. The Personal Care Attendant takes direction from the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) regarding coordination of daily duties and resident care. Requirements Completion of an approved Personal Care Attendant Education Program from a recognized institution (or recognized nursing education) is REQUIRED 2 – 3 years of work experience in the role of Personal Care Attendant Availability for days, nights and weekends Good interpersonal/communication skills Applicants must be in good health and capable of performing the required physical components of the position (lifting and transferring residents as needed).
