Senior System Safety Engineer - Aerospace (Contract) Location: Greater Montreal Area, QC Duration: 6 to 12 months Work Arrangement: On-site Language: English required; working knowledge of French is an asset Our client, a leading organization in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to support safety assessment and certification activities for aircraft systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex aerospace programs, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform system safety analyses and risk assessments for aircraft systems. Prepare and maintain safety and certification deliverables. Conduct and document: Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA) System Safety Assessments (SSA) Support compliance with applicable aerospace regulations and certification requirements. Investigate and resolve system safety issues throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering or system safety. Experience performing FTA, FMEA, and other safety analyses. Strong understanding of aircraft systems and system integration. Knowledge of ARP4754 and ARP4761 methodologies. Familiarity with aerospace certification processes. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications. Vous contribuerez à des programmes aéronautiques d'envergure en collaborant avec des équipes multidisciplinaires afin d'assurer la conformité aux exigences réglementaires et aux normes de sécurité de l'industrie. Responsabilités principales Réaliser des analyses de sécurité et des évaluations de risques pour les systèmes aéronautiques. Préparer et maintenir la documentation de sécurité et de certification. Effectuer et documenter les analyses suivantes : FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) FHA (Functional Hazard Assessment) SSA (System Safety Assessment) Soutenir les activités de conformité aux exigences de certification aéronautique. Identifier et résoudre les problématiques liées à la sécurité des systèmes. Collaborer avec les équipes d'ingénierie, les fournisseurs, les clients et les autorités concernées. Qualifications requises Baccalauréat en génie aéronautique, mécanique, électrique ou dans une discipline connexe. De 5 à 8 ans d'expérience pertinente en ingénierie aéronautique ou en sécurité des systèmes. Expérience démontrée en FTA, FMEA et analyses de sécurité. Bonne compréhension des systèmes aéronautiques et de leur intégration. Connaissance des normes ARP4754 et ARP4761. Familiarité avec les processus de certification aéronautique. Excellentes aptitudes en communication, analyse et résolution de problèmes. Maîtrise de l'environnement Microsoft 365.
