Software Engineering Manager 📍 Vancouver, BC (Hybrid) 💰 CAD $165,000 Base Salary I'm currently working with an innovative technology company that's building large-scale software solutions used in mission-critical environments. They're looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of 10-12 engineers in their Vancouver office. What You'll Be Doing: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10-12 software engineers Drive technical strategy and delivery across complex software platforms Partner with architects and senior leadership on system design and engineering best practices Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical decision-making Help modernize development processes, tooling, and CI/CD practices Hire, onboard, and grow engineering talent as the team continues to scale What They're Looking For: 8+ years of software engineering experience 3+ years of engineering leadership experience Strong technical background with both C++ and C# Experience building and supporting large-scale applications, APIs, or distributed systems Strong understanding of software architecture, Agile development, and modern engineering practices Ability to balance technical leadership with people management Nice to Have: Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices Background in IoT, embedded systems, hardware-integrated software, or real-time applications This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys staying close to the technology while managing and developing high-performing teams.
