Join the Saskatoon Blades Ice Crew and become an essential part of creating an unforgettable game day experience.As a member of our 'Blue Crew' team, you'll help shovel the ice during timeout stoppages, engage with fans through promotions and entertainment, and represent the Saskatoon Blades at games and community events. This is a role that requires confident skating ability, comfort being in front of crowds, and a reliable work ethic. Key Responsibilities Clear snow from around the ice during the two (2) timeout stoppages per period, for a total of 6 times. Assist with game presentation activities, promotions, and in-game entertainment during intermissions. Serve as a positive ambassador for the Saskatoon Blades at home games and community events. Set up and tear down ice crew and game presentation equipment, including shovels, buckets, promotional materials, and other event assets. Interact with fans and enthusiastically distribute prizes throughout games. Communicate professionally with SaskTel Centre staff, Blades staff, and fellow team members. Follow all Saskatoon Blades policies, procedures, and service standards. Qualifications Strong skating ability is required. Athletic, physically fit, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability for weekday evenings (starting as early as 5:00 p.m.), weekends, and holidays, with shifts lasting through the conclusion of games and events. Friendly, outgoing personality with the confidence to interact with fans of all ages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, professional, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic. A positive, team-first attitude. Assets Knowledge of hockey and the Saskatoon Blades. Experience working at live sporting events or in customer service. Previous experience playing hockey Additional Information Ice Crew members are responsible for providing their own hockey skates and leggings, we will provide a vest and undershirt.
