About the Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a collaborative and growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of mechanical construction projects, including mixed-use residential, commercial, and light industrial developments. You'll work closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to help deliver successful projects from pre-construction through execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical construction projects using Trimble AutoBid. Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope, labor, and material requirements. Obtain and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to develop competitive bids. Collaborate with project managers to establish estimating schedules, budgets, and project strategies. Assist with the evaluation of site instructions, change orders, and scope revisions throughout the project lifecycle. Support value engineering and risk assessment initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality. Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, and supporting documentation for future reference and audits. Qualifications Proven experience estimating mechanical construction projects, including HVAC and plumbing systems. Proficiency with Trimble AutoBid (or Trimble estimating software). Experience using Bluebeam Revu for drawing review, markups, and document management. Strong understanding of mechanical construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cost estimation skills with a high level of accuracy. Strong communication and relationship-building skills when working with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Ability to manage multiple bids and priorities while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 | Benefits Location: Onsite (Burnaby, BC)
