Key Information: * Hours: Based on a 44-hour work week; however, overtime is required during the busy season. * Must be willing to working evenings and weekends when needed. * Hourly rate is dependent on experience. * Health benefits, pension plan, RRSP matching, vacation pay offered. Job Description: * Work with Superintendents, Project Managers, and sub-contractors to increase safety awareness and improve safety practices. * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. * Monitor labor productivity and report progress updates to the superintendent. * Contribute to creating and execute safety plan. * Responsible for safety on site. * Lead and assist in weekly safety meetings on sites. * Lead and participate in toolbox meetings. * Assist in investigation and reporting of incidents. * Supervise workers and coach them to higher safety culture and productivity. * Manage material inventory, equipment maintenance, and tool tracking. * Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. * Ensure that all quality documents are being signed off. Experience and Certification Requirements: * High school diploma or certified as a Journeyman Carpenter. * Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on construction experience with prior leadership duties. * Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety regulations. * Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * A valid driver's license with an insurable driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date. * CSTS 2020 or SCOT and WHMIS 2015 required. * You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions and work positively within a team to achieve a common goal. * Leadership for Safety Excellence. (LSE Proficiency level certified) * A reliable means of transportation is required. * Proficient English language skills required. Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required or certified as a Journeyman Carpenter. Go ahead and be yourself. We'll pay you for it! We are an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5 years of heavy equipment experience, a valid heavy equipment operator certificate, and 2 years of supervisory experience. Additionally, a valid driver's license, CSTS 2020 or SCOT certification, and WHMIS 2015 are required.
