Software Developer, Ads Safety Enablement and Prevention

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. * 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting. * 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture. * Experience with programming in C++, Python, or SQL. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. * Experience developing accessible technologies. * Experience in building scalable ML systems. * Experience in anti-abuse adversarial domain. * Experience in large-scale data analysis. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Write product or system development code. * Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). * Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. * Work with the team to develop solutions to classify and understand actors and their assets including destinations in Google Ads using modern machine learning techniques. * Collaborate with partner teams to provide holistic solutions to detect and stop bad actors from re-entering Google Ads, and to reduce friction for good actors.

The software developer will write and review code to build scalable systems and develop solutions to classify and understand actors within Google Ads. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to detect and prevent bad actors while ensuring a smooth experience for legitimate users.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of software development experience, including work with large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems. Proficiency in C++, Python, or SQL is required, with preference given to those with advanced degrees and experience in machine learning or anti-abuse domains.
