In Alberta, the Correctional Services division oversees youth who are serving a sentence in a youth custody facility and sentenced to community sentences. The division also works with other areas of government to provide programs to support youths’ personal development including: • education• mental and physical health• addictions treatment• housingYouth in corrections are between the ages of 12 and 17 who have been accused or found guilty of breaking the law. Candidates must be physically capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of the position. A Criminal Record Check with Fingerprinting issued within the last six (6) months is a mandatory requirement of this recruitment process.
