Job summary

Join the Research, Analysis and Evaluation Branch and contribute your senior-level health economics expertise to advance evidence-informed decision-making across Ontario's health care system. You will conduct and lead complex economic analyses, research, and evaluations to support strategic policy development, health system planning, and initiatives addressing key health challenges facing Ontarians. The Economic Analysis and Evaluation Unit supports both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Long-Term Care to achieve the government's goal of evidence-based decision making. The Senior Health Economist will be responsible for supporting requests for health economic advice and analysis, and will work in partnership with ministry program areas, Ontario Health, and external research partners. In this role, the Senior Health Economist will also support evidence-based health system improvements and the adoption of cost-effective health innovation, including supporting the application of evidence within Health Innovation Pathway.

About the job In this role, you will: • lead, conduct, and coordinate health economic modelling, health economics analyses and research in support of strategic health system innovations • integrate multiple sources of research information • prepare policy papers for, and provide advice to, ministry staff and senior management • lead, and participate in, working groups

Requirements
