Department of Environment’s Finance branch is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for providing financial and administrative services to the branch as well as overseeing accounts payable for the department. The position is best suited to someone who is self-motivated, enjoys working with numbers, reconciling data, detailed oriented, and thrives in a team environment. Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your application) Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based on the detailed information you provide in your resume; ensure you use a month/year to month/year format and include the duties you performed in each of your positions. Coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, administrative finance, or a related field. Experience processing financial transactions or experience with data entry or performing clerical work in an accounting or financial setting. Experience providing client support. Experience using various computerized financial systems (e.g. Quest, Excel, QuickBooks, Sage) considered an asset. Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
