Contract Role: Editor We are seeking an experienced Editor (Contractor) to support the review and quality assurance of digital learning content and training deliverables. This role is responsible for ensuring learning materials are accurate, clear, concise, consistent, grammatically correct, and aligned with client standards and audience needs across a variety of formats, including documents and interactive learning solutions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working independently in a remote environment, and experienced in proofreading, content editing, accessibility reviews, and quality validation throughout the learning content development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities The contractor will perform content quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle, including collaborating with project teams to understand project requirements, tools, technologies, and quality expectations. Responsibilities include reviewing learning content and deliverables for spelling, grammar, punctuation, readability, consistency, style guide and branding compliance, logical flow, and overall user experience; ensuring graphics, media, tables, and illustrations accurately support the content; and validating that requested revisions have been implemented correctly. The contractor will conduct editorial reviews of digital learning assets, provide recommendations to improve content quality and accessibility, and support the creation and maintenance of QA documentation, resources, and processes. Required Skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments under deadline pressure. The ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities. Deep fluency in written English, with strong writing, proofreading, and copy-editing skills, with the ability to apply grammar, style, tone, and audience-appropriate writing principles across a variety of learning deliverables. Experience working with client-specific style guides, editorial standards, and branding requirements, including creating, maintaining, or governing style guides. Strong facility with full Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with current accessibility standards and guidelines a plus Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, with a minimum of two years of experience in content quality assurance, editing, proofreading, instructional content review, learning development, or a related field. Experience working remotely and collaborating effectively with distributed teams a plus. Experience supporting learning content, training materials, digital learning solutions, or instructional content development. Flexibility to support a variable schedule. Contract Details: This is a contractor engagement and fully remote opportunity. Project-based assignments with a flexible day-rate schedule and variable workload based on business needs.
