Working collaboratively with the surgeon, anesthesia team, and fellow healthcare professionals, you will assist in ensuring exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgery Responsibilities * Prepare the operating room and surgical equipment for scheduled procedures. * Provide direct perioperative nursing care in accordance with professional standards and facility policies. * Assist the surgical team during plastic and reconstructive procedures * Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention practices * Monitor patient status and respond appropriately throughout the surgical experience. * Complete accurate clinical documentation. * Assist with patient preparation and recovery as required. * Ensure instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and functioning properly. * Participate in maintaining accreditation and quality assurance standards. * Support a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered surgical environment. Qualifications Required * Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) * Current BLS certification * Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills * Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced surgical environment * Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach * Flexibility to work casual weekday shifts (primarily Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) Preferred * Previous operating room experience * Plastic surgery experience is considered a strong asset * Perioperative nursing experience * Experience in an ambulatory surgical or private surgical facility Clinic Schedule * Casual (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as required) * Day shifts * No statutory holidays * Occasional additional operating days as required GraceMed is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.  Accommodations are available upon request for candidates with disabilities taking part in all aspects of the selection process

The RPN provides direct perioperative nursing care, preparing the operating room and assisting the surgical team during plastic and reconstructive procedures. They are responsible for monitoring patient status, maintaining sterile techniques, and completing accurate clinical documentation.

Candidates must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a current BLS certification. Previous experience in an operating room or private surgical facility, specifically in plastic surgery, is strongly preferred.
