Reporting to the Pre-Construction Director, this role oversees estimating operations within a business unit, leading the process through resource allocation, estimate reviews, and tender submissions. The Estimating Manager develops divisional manpower, mentors team members, and provides input on project pursuits, while fostering strong communication and collaboration. Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site Lead and mentor the estimating team to ensure accuracy and continuous improvement. Oversee and validate project estimates, including scopes, specifications, and risk mitigation. Develop and approve bid strategies to maximize success and identify cost-saving opportunities. Manage tender closings and complex project pursuits, ensuring milestones are met. Build strong client and subcontractor relationships while conducting market analysis for accurate costing. The Right Tools for the Job Education: Diploma or degree in a related construction or engineering field. Experience: 12+ years combined field and estimating experience, including 5+ years in a senior estimating role. Skills: Proficiency in conceptual estimating, risk assessment, bid strategy, and software tools (MS Excel, Primavera, Onscreen Takeoff, Bluebeam; BIM knowledge an asset).
