We embrace transformation and innovate for customers and partners, and our employees as well. What will I do? Join our Distribution Centre team as a part-time Maintenance Mechanic. You'll keep our conveyors, equipment and building systems running safely and reliably. You'll fix breakdowns, carry out preventive maintenance and spot problems early, so our operations team can get orders out the door on time. This is a hands-on role where no two shifts are the same. Responsibilities Keep conveyor systems running during production shifts. Diagnose and repair breakdowns, including emergency calls Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors, racking, compressed air systems, compressors, pumps and gearboxes Operate and adjust conveyor controller settings Maintain lift truck batteries and chargers, and repair pump trucks Inspect, troubleshoot and do minor repairs on building systems, including lighting, plumbing, electrical, and heating and ventilation Operate and troubleshoot low-pressure steam and hot water heating systems, and use building automation software to control ventilation Operate building alarm and fire protection systems, and respond to emergency alarm calls Inspect operations and building equipment, and report potential issues before they cause downtime Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, maintenance requests and time spent on tasks Follow safe work practices at all times Perform other maintenance tasks as assigned What qualifications do I need? Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) Certificate of Qualification (or working towards) 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, ideally in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing setting Strong troubleshooting skills on conveyors and mechanical systems Comfortable using a computer, including Microsoft Office Able to work independently and respond calmly to urgent breakdowns Strong commitment to safety and good record-keeping Lift equipment certification and PLC diagnostic software experience are assets. Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20-24 hours per week, shifts may start and end at different times as needed. What does Grand & Toy offer? Requirements

Requires a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) Certificate of Qualification or progress toward one. Candidates need at least five years of maintenance mechanic experience, strong troubleshooting skills, computer proficiency, independence, and a strong commitment to safety and accurate record-keeping.
