Research project: Tackling Health Inequalities Through Green/Blue Infrastructure
This page is the home of the NIHR-funded project Tackling Health Inequalities Through Green/Blue Infrastructure. Led by Ben Wheeler at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health, University of Exeter, the project runs from 2024-2029. It aims to grow our understanding of how policies and actions related to planning, managing, and investing in natural environments might help to reduce health inequalities. The successful candidate will support a pilot randomised control trial and process evaluation of a nature-based intervention for people with mental ill health. They will draw on stakeholder engagement and qualitative methods to inform a future RCT assessing the effectiveness of a Nature-on-Prescription intervention.
